Low-power flyback converter with synchronous rectification for a system with AC power distribution

چکیده
IEC 1000-3-2 regulations impose a reduced harmonic content on any converter with an input power higher than 75 W. However, if the power architecture of the system is based on small on-board converters, and the total power is higher than 75 W, IEC regulations must be fulfilled although each individual converter need not comply with the regulations. In this paper, one of the different possible solutions is presented. Each on-board converter has an active input current shaper (AICS) in order to reduce the input current harmonic content of each converter and, hence, to comply with IEC 1000-3-2 regulations. Moreover, two different types of AICSs were compared: the conventional one and a new type of AICS based on a full-wave rectifier.

This paper proposes and discusses a novel AC/DC converter suitable for small-scaled wind power generation system applications. By introducing flyback cells into the three-phase single-switch Boost circuit, the proposed converter is designed as single-stage and has both rectification and high step-up power conversion functions. It is able to obtain high voltage gain at low input voltage level, a...

This paper presents an AC module inverter for photovoltaic (PV) power system. The PV inverter employs a Buck-Boost converter on the DC side and a flyback inverter on the AC side. Based on capacitive idling (CI) techniques and peak current control method, the proposed inverter shows low current distortion, high power factor, small power decoupling capacitor and soft-switching operation. Analysis...
متن کاملPower Factor Correction (Boost PFC Converter with Two-Switch Clamped Flyback Converter)
The devices such as diode and thyristor are generally used in industrial, commercial and residential applications hence need to undergo rectification for their proper functioning and operation. They are connected to the grid comprising of non-linear loads and thus have non-linear input characteristics, which results in production of non-sinusoidal line current. Due to the increasing demand of t...
متن کاملA New Single-Phase Single-Stage AC-DC Stacked Flyback Converter With Active Clamp ZVS
Single-stage AC-DC converters integrate an AC-DC front-end converter with a DC-DC backend converter. Compared with conventional two-stage AC-DC converters, single-stage ACDC converters use less components and only one controller, which is used to regulate the output voltage. As a result, the cost, size and complexity of AC-DC converters can be reduced, but single-stage converters do not perform...
